Your experience begins on Thursday when you check in to your
assigned rooms. We start with a wine and cheese reception,
where you are free to browse through our collection of art books.
Later, why not take a walk outside on the natural pathway where
you can enjoy a great view of Penticton and the lakes below before
you head off downtown for supper.
After a restful nights sleep, wake up to the aroma of an early
morning gourmet breakfast. Feel free to take
your breakfast out on the deck where you may be greeted by a wide
variety of bird species also enjoying the Okanagan weather.
Then off you go for your day's art class downtown.
You will be instructed with the Bob Ross technique, where the
average person can pick up a brush and have fun. It's a fantastic
painting method for absolute beginners and improvers alike.
There is no drawing or sketching involved, and you do not need
any previous painting skill or natural ability to enjoy this technique.
As your blank canvas comes to life with color and form you will
be amazed at what you can do with a landscape brush, fan brush
and a palette knife. If you have never painted before or have
painted for years these classes are for you.
Students will be so captivated by their painting that lunch time
will come before you know it. Take a break and enjoy a Chinese
smorg lunch to refresh your soul. Then back to finish
your oil painting. All will be delighted to take their
freshly painted landscape scene home.
After the day's excitement, relax up a bit and enjoy your goody
basket back at the bed and breakfast. Or why not head
down main street and check out the local art gallery,
antique shop, or famous bookshop before supper.
Tonight you will sleep as never before, dreaming of your artistic
success! In the morning, another full sized breakfast
awaits you! Check out isn't until 11, so there's time for a soak
in the hot tub if you wish.
